Comparison

Oxyye vs UrbanGym

UrbanGym is an Indian gym management product with four plans on a public page, including a free one. We do not publish prices, so the fair thing is to show you theirs, say where they are ahead of us, and be specific about what is actually different.

Where UrbanGym is ahead of us today

  • They publish their prices and we do not. If you want to compare on cost without talking to anyone, they have made that easy and we have not.
  • They have a tier that is free forever up to 50 members. If you are starting a small studio this month, that is a real offer and we do not have one.
  • Biometric attendance is on their list and not on ours. If fingerprint or face check-in is the reason you are shopping, we are not the answer yet.
  • Multi-location is a plan dimension for them — 1, 5, unlimited. With us it is a conversation.

What is actually different

WhatsApp, not an SMS quota

Their plans meter SMS: 100 a month on the free tier, 5,000 on Scale. Ours do not meter messages at all, and renewal reminders go out on WhatsApp — which is where an Indian gym member actually reads a message about a membership that lapses on Tuesday.

One ledger, however the money arrives

Cash in the drawer, UPI to a phone, a card machine and autopay all land in the same place with the receipt already sent, so the day reconciles itself. This is the job that eats a gym owner’s evening, and it is the one we built first.

The price you agreed is the price every screen reads

A member on a discount is billed, chased and forecast at the price you actually gave them, not the price on the board. Software that quietly reverts to list price is how long-standing members get the wrong invoice.

Enquiries are a pipeline, not an inbox

A walk-in, an Instagram DM and a 10 pm WhatsApp all land in one list with the reply and the visit booked from there, and a follow-up until it is a yes or a no.

If we have this wrong, tell us

Everything above about UrbanGym was read off their public pages on 5 October 2026 and is linked so you can check it. Prices and plans change. If something here is out of date — including if you work at UrbanGym — write to hello@oxyye.com and we will fix the page.
